Privacy Policy Overview: Cookie Time Limited is committed to protecting the privacy of our Website users. We will use our reasonable best efforts to ensure that the information we collect from you is dealt with in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

In summary, we guarantee that:

  • We will not give, sell or otherwise provide any of your information to any other party except our sponsor who may use the information for market research purposes.
  • You will never receive any spam, marketing messages (either solicited or unsolicited), or any other communications from us, except for:
    1. Your Santa Phone Call (made by phone)
    2. An email to you with link to an audio voice file of your child's Christmas Wish List
    3. Emails from ourselves or our sponsor of this service with information about the service or their products or services.
 

Terms and Definitions: The following capitalized definitions are being used, in singular as well as plural, in this policy.

Term Definition
Affiliate Any corporation, company or other entity that directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with, Cookie Time Limited. For the purpose of this definition, the word "control" shall mean the direct or indirect ownership of more than fifty percent (50%) of the outstanding voting stock of the corporation, company, or other entity.
Sponsor A company that has provided financial resources to Cookie Time Limited to enable the SantaCall service to operate in exchange for advertising and commercial endorsement as displayed on this website.
Personal Information Information you enter into specific fields on the Website.
Santa Phone Call A call out to a landline phone number in New Zealand, where a pre-recorded voice will pretend to be Santa Claus and talk to your / a child and ask them to leave their Christmas wish-list. After the phone call an email will be sent to you with a link to the voice recording of your child's wish-list.
Cookie Time Limited A limited liability company established under the laws of New Zealand that owns the IP Rights and with which you are entering into this Agreement.
Website The SantaCall website ("SantaCall")
You You, the end user of SantaCall, an individual who uses SantaCall for the express purpose of generating a Santa Phone Call for your child.
1. Privacy Policy: This privacy policy is designed to assist you in understanding how Cookie Time Limited ("Cookie Time Limited", "we", "us", "our") uses and safeguards information you provide while using SantaCall.

Explanation of Service: Cookie Time Limited provides this Website to all users for free, but does require you enter some personal information in order to function.

You can become a user of SantaCall for free and create a Santa Phone Call. To use SantaCall, you must enter your first name, phone number, email address and child's first name, gender and age range. Once we have this information we will endeavour to call the phone number as entered, and deliver the Santa Phone Call. When you child finishes recording their Christmas wish-list, we will endeavour to email that recording to your email address.
3. Information you provide to us and how we use it: 1) Personal Information you provide; 2) Personalization cookies we create to enhance your experience with SantaCall; 3) Use of the recorded message; and 4) Usage information that is passively generated through your use of SantaCall.
 

1 and 2 - Personal Information you provide: To use this site, you may provide some Personal Information to us, including but not limited to the following information about you:

  • Your first name
  • Your phone number
  • Your child's first name
  • Your Email address
  • Demographic information about your child

We collect this information from you so we may call you and deliver a Santa Phone Call, record your child's Christmas wish list, and deliver the wish list to you by email. Demographic information is collected for market research purposes. We supply a limited amount of information, to our sponsor for their market research purposes. No information passed to the sponsor for market research personally identifies the child.
  2 - Cookies: This site uses a feature on your Internet browser called a "cookie". Cookies are small files that your Internet browser places on your computer's hard drive. We use cookies for enhancing your experience when you use SantaCall for items such as remembering your name and preferences. Cookies do not store your passwords. Cookies help us provide you with an easier and more enjoyable use of the site.
  3 - Use of the Recorded Information: In addition to the use of your Personal Information required by SantaCall to make a Santa Phone Call, we also collect and store your child's Christmas wish list as an electronic voice recording, for the express purpose of emailing a link to this recording to your email address. Recorded information may also be used for market research purposes by our sponsor.
 

4 - Usage Information: In addition to the use of your Personal Information required by SantaCall to make a Santa Phone Call, we also passively collate information relating to your use of SantaCall in the following areas:

  • Information and Statistics:
    • the number of times you have used SantaCall
    • the length of the recorded message
    • the number of emails sent

  • Family or marital status
  • Sexual orientation
  • Colour, race, nationality or ethnic origin

Our Use of Your Information: Your Personal Information entered on SantaCall is used by us to generate a Santa Phone Call. Specifically, your Personal Information is used by:

  1. Cookie Time Limited in order to provide an outgoing phone call to your child
  2. Cookie Time Limited in order to record and distribute your child's Christmas wish list
  3. Cookie Time Limited to maintain and improve SantaCall
  4. Cookie Time Limited to solicit feedback from you after your use of SantaCall
  5. Cookie Time Limited or it’s Sponsor to communicate with you about their products or services.
  6. Cookie Time Limited to remind you of SantaCall the following year
  7. Our sponsor to conduct market research

COOKIE TIME LIMITED DOES NOT SELL, RENT, LOAN, TRADE, LEASE OR OTHERWISE PROVIDE ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION TO ANY PARTY WHATSOEVER, OTHER THAN AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WE MAY, HOWEVER, ENGAGE A THIRD PARTY IN ORDER TO PROVIDE SANTACALL SERVICES YOU ELECT TO USE, STRICTLY ON OUR BEHALF AND UNDER OUR SUPERVISION AND RESPONSIBILITY.

Your Continued Assurance: In the event that Cookie Time Limited is ever sold, acquired, merged, liquidated, reorganized, or otherwise transferred, Cookie Time Limited reserves the right to transfer the SantaCall database including your Personal Information, to a third-party acquiring Cookie Time Limited or its assets. In this event, we will place a prominent notice of the sale on the SantaCall homepage.
7. Deleting Your Personal Information: There is no capability to delete your Personal Information once entered onto the Website.
8. Data Security: Your Personal Information you enter or update on the Website is stored on a secure database server.  Cookie Time Limited uses all reasonable efforts to ensure access to your Personal Information in only made available to Cookie Time Limited.
9. Modification to this Privacy Policy: We may from time to time update this Privacy Policy by providing such revised Privacy Policies to you or by publishing the revised Privacy Policy on SantaCall at the bottom of the home page. By joining and continuing to use SantaCall you agree to this Privacy Policy and any new versions hereof.
